About Catching Courage

Welcome to our teeny-tiny corner of the WWW! Here at Catching Courage, our mission is to help people move from passive faith to actionable faith, from borrowed faith to owning their faith, and from living for themselves to living for the Kingdom of God. If you’re tired of the daily grind or of striving and getting nowhere, or if you desire a richer, fuller life, you’re in the right place!

We believe that God created each and every one of us (yes, even you!) on purpose with a purpose. But that purpose doesn’t just unfold automatically. Nope. You have to give your life to God and trust that He loves you and wants the best for you.

We believe that in order to “catch the courage” to go all-in with God, 3 things have to happen.

  1. First, you have to learn how to trust God.
  2. Second, you have to believe in yourself by accepting and embracing your identity in Christ and discovering your God-given gifts.
  3. Third, you have to get prepared to fight the enemy’s attempts to thwart your efforts to further God’s Kingdom.

Here’s a visual, in case that’s your thing.

It takes guts to give God control and grit to keep letting Him stay in the driver’s seat, but you’re strong, and you have what it takes! And God set aside good works for you to complete long before you were even a twinkle in your parents’ eyes, so He definitely knows you can do it!

So are you ready? Ready for a life of purpose and joy? Ready to make a difference in the world? Ready to embark on the greatest adventure of your life? Then, with all due respect, what are you waiting for? Don’t wait until you’re not tired or not busy or not [adjective of your choice]. Because that day will likely never come.

If your answer is yes, and you want to take hold of the life-changing power that comes with going all-in for Jesus, join us! Follow us on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter so you don’t miss a thing; Catching Courage is always coming out with new resources that help you develop your faith into the kind of faith that changes lives, the world, and God’s Kingdom!

God created you on purpose with a purpose, and going all-in means that you can finally start doing the things He planned for you. You can finally start living a fulfilling, joyful life joy no matter where each day takes you. And you can finally start changing the world one God-adventure at a time!

About Coren

Hi! I’m so glad you’re still here! My name is Coren, and I’m a wife and mother of 5 who recently discovered God’s purpose, and who really, really, really wants to help others discover and live out theirs!

This is me!

I used to be the Christian who was bored with life and constantly wondering if this was it – the “abundant life” Jesus said I would live. Thinking that if it was, there was something wrong with me for feeling like I was wandering aimlessly instead of walking with purpose and joy like other Christians I saw were.

Then one day, it hit me…I WAS wandering aimlessly and without purpose.

So, I had a heart-to-heart with Jesus. Well, actually, He had a heart-to-heart with me, and He gave me a purpose. And what did I do? I tried to put it off. “I’m tired,” I said. “I’ll do it later,” I said. As if my plans are more important than His. HA!

And in response, He said, “No. Do it now.”And you know what? I did. I really and truly said, “Yes” to Jesus for the first {well, second} time in my life. And now? Well, I no longer wander aimlessly or without purpose. And I’m definitely not bored anymore!

That purpose was this blog (and some other stuff, too, like adopting a pre-teen when we already have 4 kiddos)! It hasn’t been easy, I’ll tell ‘ya. Sometimes I wonder why He called me to do this, and there are days I wish He hadn’t, but I can honestly say that I’ve never felt more alive and loved by my Heavenly Father than I do right now.

I consider it an honor and extremely humbling that He would deem me worthy of helping Him with His grand plan to bring all people to Him.

And I hope you will consider helping Him also, by pressing into Him and discovering His purpose for your life, too.

Catch ‘ya later!
